What HVAC Maintenance Plans Involves
A maintenance plan typically includes two visits a year, one ahead of the cooling season to service the air conditioner and one ahead of the heating season to service the furnace or heat pump. Each visit covers the checks that catch small issues early: electrical connections, refrigerant charge, filter condition, condensate drainage, safety controls and airflow measurements, all recorded so any trend, like a slowly declining refrigerant charge, gets caught before it becomes a full failure.
Beyond catching problems early, regular maintenance keeps a system running closer to its rated efficiency throughout its life. A dirty coil, a slipping belt or a clogged filter each force the system to work harder for the same output, which shows up as higher energy bills even when the system has not technically failed.
Plan members also typically receive priority scheduling for repairs, since it is easier for us to prioritize an existing customer we already have service history for. We keep a record of each system's maintenance history so any recurring issue is easy to track over multiple visits rather than starting from scratch each time.
